Laundry Service

The laundry service includes both pick-up and delivery of the customer's laundry items.  The customer shall pre-pack personal goods in the laundry bag provided by Valet Today Campus® and deliver such bag(s) to VTC drop sites at the scheduled drop off/pick up time. VTC will process and return the Customer's laundry bag with clean laundry to the customer during dates and times established by VTC by considering school and resident hall schedules. The Customer agrees to be present to receive the goods at the specified delivery date, time, and location or agrees to allow VTC to leave the Customer's belongings in his resident hall room or drop site location subject to pickup and delivery procedures on VTC website. The customer is responsible for only placing items that can be washed and dried into the laundry bag.


Insurance:
VTC does not offer insurance on laundry service. The customer agrees to claim any costs incurred on their insurance or the insurance of their parents.


Pricing:
The customer agrees to pay for all services at the time of sign up for such services. Any additional fees or charges incurred pursuant to this agreement that may occur after the initial payment will be billed to the customer. The customer must maintain a valid credit card number on file. The customer hereby grants VTC the right to charge its credit card for any such fees, consents to the billing of its credit card for such fees and agrees to pay for any excess services provided.

Cancellation Policy:
August 1st - August 15th - Full Refund Given
August 16th - September 15th - $35 Cancellation Fee will be charged. Pro-rated refund given.
September 16th - No Refund Given.

Laundry Procedures:
VTC will not process clothing in bags other than our own without prior consent. Each customer is allowed only one bag per week. If a customer turns in additional bags, then the customer agrees to pay all charges pertaining to that said bag. If the customer misses the drop off time, the customer understands that their laundry will not be returned until the following week delivery time. Customer agrees that all items placed in the laundry bag can be washed and dried.

Dry Cleaning Procedures:
The dry-cleaning services will include a pick-up and delivery of the Customer's dry-cleaning items. Dry cleaning service is only offered to current laundry customers. VTC will not process clothing in bags other than our own without prior consent. If a customer includes their dry-cleaning items in the Valet TodayCampus® LAUNDRY bag and not in the separate DRY-CLEANING bag, such items will automatically be laundered and not dry-cleaned at the customer's peril. The customer will turn their dry cleaning bag in with their laundry bag. It is the customer's responsibility to fill in their name, residence hall and cell phone number on the dry cleaning bag. VTC is not responsible for any bag that it not properly identified.

Dry Cleaning and Laundry Claims:
Should the need for a claim arise, it is the customer's responsibility to fill out a claim form within 5 business days and forward it to info@vtcampus.com. (Claim form can be found on the VTC website).VTC requires that before any reimbursements are paid, that the customer must provide the following: receipt of purchase, date of purchase, brand name of item and store where it was purchased. Valet Today Campus® will reimburse based on IFI standard depreciation of garments. Maximum reimbursement shall not exceed initial purchase value for the specific service provided. A reimbursement will be made once all steps have been completed and VTC has evaluated their level of responsibility.

Microfridge® and Safes
VTC will provide the rental and sale of the 3 in 1 Microfridge®. Both rental units and sale units will be delivered to the customer's residence hall room. VTC will also pick up the rental unit at the end of spring semester. Safe sales will be provided by VTC. All safes will be delivered to the residence hall room.

Insurance:
VTC does not offer insurance on Microfridge® units. The customer agrees to claim any costs incurred on their insurance or the insurance of their parents

Pricing:
Customer will be charged per pricing on VTC website. Pricing can change without notice.

Procedures:
VTC agrees to deliver to resident hall room per schedule listed on VTC school website. In the event that item/s become out-of-stock VTC will deliver items when available and proper pro-rated credit given if item is being rented.

Water Service
VTC will provide the weekly delivery of water to residence hall rooms. All water will be left outside the residence hall room.

Insurance:
VTC does not offer insurance on Water. The customer agrees to claim any costs incurred on their insurance or the insurance of their parents

Customer will be charged per pricing on VTC website. Pricing can change without notice.

Procedures:
VTC will deliver water to the residence hall room. All water will be left outside the residence hall room door. Water will be delivered weekly. It is the customer's responsibility to report missed service. The customer acknowledges that it is their responsibility to move the water into the room in a timely manner.

Claims:
It is the responsibility to report missed service by the next business day. The customer must email VTC at water@vtcampus.com to report missed service. In the event that service was missed delivery will be made on the next delivery date. If a customer fails to report missed delivery, VTC will not make delivery nor will credit be given.


Ownership of Property:
The Customer has represented and warranted to VTC that he is the legal owner or in lawful possession of the property and has the legal right and authority to contract for services of all of the property tendered to VTC.

The Customer understands that early access to his items at the storage facility is only available upon 14 days prior notice and subject to an additional $100 fee. VTC will need to confirm a time for the customer to access his items at the facility.


In the event a customer needs to request a change to the previously scheduled delivery date or location, it must be communicated by the Customer to VTC in writing via e-mail at least 14 days prior to the new delivery date or originally scheduled delivery, whichever is applicable.

 

Change requests made to delivery date or time within 14 days of such delivery are not guaranteed. All changes are subject to an additional fee which is determined by local standard delivery rates. Please contact VTC for a cost estimate.

Insurance:
The basic insurance, and the additional insurance that the Customer may purchase, for stored items provide coverage against damage or loss of the Customer's stored packages. The insurance does not cover the following: jewelry, collectibles, cash, items of intangible value, extremely fragile items, improperly packed items, any damage caused by force majeure. VTC provides basic insurance for the Customer's storage and shipping package against loss or damage up to a value of $100 per order. VTC strongly recommends the purchase of additional insurance if the replacement value of the Customer's possessions exceeds $100. Additional insurance is available at the rate specified in the pricing schedule contained on the VTC web site and may be purchased at the time of sign up. The maximum amount of additional insurance is $1,500 for each storage order and $900 for each shipping order. If no additional insurance is purchased by the Customer, the Customer agrees that the released value of their order is no greater than $100 and that VTC's liability is limited to $100.


Shipping Services

VTC shall only act as an intermediary for the receipt and transfer of all the Customer's shipping items to a shipping carrier chosen by VTC (the "Shipping Carrier"). The Customer agrees to complete shipping labels prior to the Customer's scheduled pick up time. VTC will then transport the shipping items to the Shipping Carrier.


For items that will be shipped from the Customer's home to the Customer's school address, VTC must receive the shipping items within 5 days of the scheduled delivery date to such school address. Any items that are not received by VTC prior to 5th day preceding the delivery date may be subject to additional shipping charges as set forth in the Pricing Section of VTC's website. It is the Customer's responsibility to ensure that items are shipped to meet this deadline.


VTC has the discretion to accept or reject the Customer's items that use VTC's shipping service. VTC is not responsible for any loss or damage to the Customer's items if such loss or damage occurred during transport by the Shipping Carrier.


Pick Up and Delivery - Procedure and Terms:
VTC sets pick up and delivery dates and times. The schedule will be communicated directly to the Customer at time of sign up as well as published on VTC's website. VTC reserves the right to reschedule such times without prior notice to the Customer.


For storage services, VTC will make available packaging materials approximately one week prior to the commencement of the university move out week.  VTC will notify the Customer in advance of the dates, times, and locations where the VTC materials can be obtained. It is the responsibility of the Customer to make arrangements to pick up the packaging materials during the times specified.  While VTC will use its best efforts, it does not guarantee that adequate packing materials will be available to meet the Customer's needs.

VTC will not pick up any items that are not properly packed in VTC boxes or other appropriate shipping materials and that are not appropriately labeled. The Customer is responsible for all damage to belongings inside the VTC packaging materials or anything else when caused by any items present in the packing materials. It is the Customer's responsibility to pack his boxes or shipping boxes by his scheduled pick up time. The Customer agrees that VTC will not be held liable for damage to his belongings after delivery has occurred. In the event that the Customer is not present during his scheduled delivery date and time, VTC representatives will leave the Customer's belongings inside the Customer's residence hall room and VTC's liability for the Customer's belongings will cease. If the Customer is absent during delivery, the signature of the VTC representative making the delivery will evidence the delivery of the Customer's items in good condition, and VTC will obtain a second signature by a university representative verifying delivery of the Customer's belongings in good condition.


This Agreement is accepted subject to delays or damages caused by war, insurrection, labor troubles, strikes, Acts of God, riots, weather conditions, street traffic, elevator service, or other causes beyond the control of VTC.

 
Payment:
Pricing for services can be found in the Pricing Section of VTC's website.

Storage
The Customer will be charged a non-refundable $40 deposit to reserve a space for Valet Today Campus® storage services. The deposit will be credited against the Customer's final bill. The Customer shall pay for all services at the time of sign up for such services. A copy of the Household Goods Descriptive Inventory sheet will serve as the invoice. Additional fees or charges incurred pursuant to this Agreement that may occur after the initial payment will be billed to the Customer, and the Customer hereby agrees to pay such charges within 30 days of the date on such bill.


The Customer who chooses to pay with a credit card must maintain a valid and current number on file. In the event the Customer is charged additional fees in accordance with this Agreement, the Customer hereby grants to VTC the right to charge its credit card for any such fees, consents to the billing of its credit card for such fees, and agrees to pay any excess services provided.


Claims: 
The Customer agrees to first claim any loss against any insurance carried by the Customer or the Customer's parents, if available. The Customer will make claims against VTC only after exhausting other areas of coverage.


In the case of damage to stored packages, any damaged crates must be inspected in the presence of a VTC representative at the time of delivery to confirm damage. All damaged boxes, trunks, or other shipping materials must be opened at the time of delivery, at which time the Crepresentative will document the damage. For loss of stored boxes, the Customer must notify the VTC representative of the loss at the time of delivery of the other packages and sign the delivery receipt amended for the lost box. The missing items must be noted on the form and signed off by the VTC representative.


If the Customer is not present during the time of delivery, the condition notes recorded on the contract, if any, will determine the existence and extent of damage to the exterior box or loss.


Claims for loss of, or damage to, the Customer's property must be filed with VTC by requesting a claims form from VTC. Claims shall be deemed waived if not filed within 10 days following delivery of the damaged package or, in the case of lost items, within 10 days following the scheduled delivery of the missing item. Upon receipt of a completed Claim Form and any required documentation, VTC will process the claim and issue a formal reply to the Customer within 30 days of receipt of the Claim Form and documentation.


VTC will pay the lesser of the following claim amounts:
a. The cost of reasonably restoring the property to its condition immediately before the move (applies only in the case of damaged items).
b. The actual replacement value of the property.
c. The amount of insurance on the package, which is: 
      i. $100 if no additional insurance was purchased, or 
      ii. If additional insurance was purchased, the lesser of:  $1,500 (the maximum single item coverage for storage items) or $900 (the maximum

          single item coverage for shipping items), whichever applies or the amount of additional insurance the Customer purchased for the item

          plus the $100 of free insurance.


It is hereby expressly agreed that VTC shall have no liability if any claim is denied or paid in part by the Shipping Carrier or its insurance company.


To the extent that the Customer does not obtain insurance coverage for the full value of his personal property stored or shipped with VTC, the Customer hereby agrees to assume all risk of loss, including damage or loss by burglary, fire, rust, water, changes in temperature, fumigation, vermin or other insects, or vandalism. VTC and its employees, authorized representatives, agents, and affiliates will not be responsible for, and the Customer hereby releases from, any loss, liability, claim, expense, damage to property or injury to persons that could have been insured (including without limitation any loss arising from the active or passive acts, omission or negligence of VTC or its agents, affiliates, authorized representatives and employees).


Damaged items must have evidence of physical damage to the exterior of the box or packaging of the item. VTC cannot be held liable for concealed damage to items within a crate, trunk, or other casing without physical damage to the exterior of the package. Damage to the exterior of the box, trunk, or other casing does not result in a presumption of liability by VTC.


The Customer acknowledges that they are liable for any damage their storage contents may inflict on the property of others. . The Customer expressly acknowledges that VTC is not a professional storer, mover or common carrier and waives the right to hold VTC to any laws or standards governing storers, movers or carriers.

Cancellation Policy:
The Customer shall have the option to cancel a service purchased. If cancellation occurs within 14 days of the scheduled pick up date.

Abandonment:
The Customer agrees that his failure to be present on the scheduled delivery date and time his failure to communicate with VTC concerning an alternate delivery arrangement constitutes abandonment of his stored possessions. Under abandonment of his possessions, the Customer agrees to pay VTC for all charges and fees relating to the failed delivery and further storage and shipping costs related to the abandonment. VTC has the right to assume ownership of the abandoned property after 60 days of the originally scheduled delivery date.

Disclaimer
VTC's liability under this Agreement shall be limited to general money damages in an amount not to exceed the charges for the term of service paid by the Customer in the term under which the damages are alleged to have occurred. This liability shall be the extent of VTC's liability regardless of the form in which any legal or equitable action may be brought and the foregoing shall constitute the Customer's exclusive remedy. In no event will VTC be held liable or be responsible for any consequential, special, indirect, incidental, or punitive damages whether or not VTC knew or should have known of the likelihood of any loss or damages. VTC disclaims all warranties express or implied with respect to the services rendered under this Agreement.


Waiver
Except as specifically provided in this Agreement, the Customer waives any claims for damage to, or loss of, any article against VTC and its representatives. The Customer expressly releases and holds VTC, and its representatives, agents, and employees harmless from any and all costs of processing any claim or defending any claim arising from this Agreement.

 
Entire Agreement
ThisAgreement and any documents referred to herein constitute the complete, exclusive, and entire agreement between the parties and may not be modified except in writing signed by both parties.


Choice of Law
This Agreement shall be governed, interpreted, and construed according to the laws of the State of Illinois. The Customer agrees that any court action pertaining to this Agreement shall be conducted in courts in the State of Illinois.
